Heya lovelies, How have you been? So today I will be reviewing my favourite foundation, which is Mac pro longwear foundation. I am in the shade NC-42. Though I am writing a review for this foundation today, it is not new to me. I have been using this foundation for more than a year now. I am kind of a big foundation junkie. Since the product was discontinued I have tried studio fix, water weight, watchmaster, tinted moisturizer, and the new pro longwear. The closest I got to what I needed is probably studio fix which still fell horribly flat. I am now in the process of trying out other high end foundation brands and sadly can no longer be a MAC. To be honest, I think I like Studio Fix more. I find that Studio Fix still lasts over 12 hours as well, just know how to apply it and always, always use a primer. Pro Longwear is too thick of a. How to Use MAC Pro Longwear Foundation

I generally like to dot the foundation all over my face, and then take a kabuki brush and blend the foundation all over my face and neck. One needs to work a bit faster while applying this foundation as this starts setting on the skin pretty quickly. You can use a brush or BeautyBlender as per your comfort.

In Detail MAC Pro Longwear Foundation Review, Swatches, FOTD and My Experience

The Mac pro longwear foundation comes in a sturdy glass bottle. The best thing I love about this foundation is that it comes with its own pump unlike Mac studio fix fluid foundation. The pump dispenses just the right amount of product hence there is no product wastage. The foundation also has a twist lock system so that you can twist and dispense the product when you need and then twist back to lock the bottle. I usually require 2 pumps of foundation to cover my entire face and neck. Though it is a glass bottle, one can carry this foundation safely in a handbag. I have personally carried this foundation a number of times but never faced any problems yet.

Coming on to the shade selection – MAC is probably the best, well known and trusted brand when it comes to the shades selection. They have a wide range of shades available in this foundation. So one can easily find a suitable shade for their skin tone in the Mac Pro longwear range of foundations.

The texture of the foundation is liquid but it is slightly thick in consistency. It applies smoothly but one needs to work a little fast with this foundation or else it may end up sitting on your face and becomes hard to blend after a while.

I wanted to buy a long wearing foundation and as I have combination/oily skin, the MAC Makeup artist at a MAC store suggested this foundation. I was matched NC-42 in pro longwear foundation which luckily was the perfect shade for me. I normally like to use a foundation that is one shade lighter than my skin tone as foundations tend to oxidise a bit on my skin. But this foundation is not a shade lighter it's just my skin but better. I was surprised to see that this foundation didn't oxidise on my face at all, and the colour remained the same as it was. This is a long wearing foundation and it offers semi-matte finish which I love.

It didn't oxidise on my face and it stayed put through all day long. After 5-6 hours I started noticing the foundation slightly fading from my t-zone where I generally tend to get oily. But touching up with a compact just increased the wear time of the foundation.

Mac Pro Longwear Vs Studio Fix Primer

I have tried and tested this foundation with primer and without primer. In both the ways it stayed for the same time duration on my skin. This foundation is good for people with combination to oily skin. Dry skin beauties may need to use some moisturiser underneath before putting on this foundation. For me, it is indeed the best foundation and my ultimate favourite so far. Although I have been loving some more foundations from other brands, this one is always close to my heart. I love this foundation to the bits for the finish, stay and the coverage it provides. Never goes cakey or patchy on the skin. Just keeps looking fresh and natural all day. 🙂

These two are constantly compared, so as massive fan of MAC Studio Fix I thought it was only fair to get a hold of some Double Wear and test them out against each other. I love a full coverage foundation, in fact, that's all I wear but even some foundations are too heavy for me.
Who am I you might be wondering? I'm an award-winning beauty blogger and (if I do say so myself), I know good makeup when I see it.

My first time trying this was when I headed over to boots to check it out and was informed that they didn't have the lightest shade in Egg Shell. Instead the lady gave me a sample of the second lightest, just so I could see how it feels on my skin and how long it lasts.

• Powder isn't always needed.
• One layer should be enough.

• Sticky.
• Impossible to apply more on top, basically not buildable at all.
• Cakey feeling.

I have used and loved MAC Studio Fix for as long as I can remember. It's a medium coverage that can soon be very heavy or with one coat it can leave my skin looking perfected. Best malware removal tool mac. Mine has never lasted 10 hours though, never, that's slightly ridiculous. I'll always have to reapply either over it (as this foundation does allow for that) or take it off and start again completely depending on how hard of a day I've had. It'll continue to be a foundation that I will always use and love.
